Car Seat Safety Party

Wonder Mommy and Protect-A-Tot teamed up to host a WONDERful event for moms in the neighborhood. The Car Seat Party helped educate us on proper child car seat installation. According to some statistics, four out of five car seats on the road today are not properly installed.  Protect-A-Tot, Inc. gave us the scoop on car seat basics. Thank you everyone who participated!

Positioning the infant seat at the correct angle helps ensure unobstructed breathing. Use the level to help you!

At the Car Seat Party we learned how to correctly install our car seats and properly secure our children.

Protect-A-Tot, Inc., Child Passenger Safety Technicians.

All children 2 years of age or older, or those younger than 2 years of age who have outgrown the rear-facing weight or height limit for their car seats, should use a forward facing car seat.

Thank you to Protect-A-Tot, Inc. for helping fill out all the Child Passenger Safety Checklists.

Keep the harness chest clip level with the armpits. Harness straps on rear-facing infant seats should be at, or below the shoulders. Harness straps are always snug, straight and flat.
Always make sure the front passenger seat isn't pushed back too far or the car seat will sit too upright.

Please make sure ALL car seats fit tightly into your vehicle and do not move side to side or front to back.

DRIVE SAFE!!!! xoxo
