Callie here with Foodie Friday! Here is a quick & simple lunch or dinner recipe for all my fellow Wonder Mommies! I love ideas like this because you can add your own new twist each time you make this for your little one, so they don’t get sick of it!
Whole Wheat Pizza Toast
Ingredients:
Whole Wheat Bread
Pizza Sauce
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Toppings (I added grated zucchini today, some other suggestions include grated carrots, finely chopped broccoli or cauliflower, turkey pepperoni, etc.)
1. Spread Pizza Sauce on bread
2. Grate/zest zucchini over sauce
3. Sprinkle cheese over zucchini (hides the vegetables so your LOs don't see it)
4. Toast in toaster oven until cheese is melted
5. Use pizza cutter (my favorite time saving gadget) to make small bites (My little one prefers no crust)
6. Allow to cool before serving
